Lucien Postlewaite
Initial PGF Award: Ballet Fellowship, 2008
Lucien Postlewaite is from Santa Cruz, California. He began his training at the Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre and continued his training on full scholarship at the School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. Mr. Postlewaite joined Pacific Northwest Ballet in 2003 and was promoted to soloist in 2007 and principal in 2008 .
Mr. Postlewaite has performed leading roles in Balanchine's Agon, The Four Temperaments, La Sonnambula, La Valse, Prodigal Son, Rubies, and Theme and Variations; Dove's Dancing on the Front Porch of Heaven and Red Angels; Forsythe's In the middle, somewhat elevated; Maillot’s Romeo et Juliette (Romeo); Morris's Pacific; Robbins' In the Night; Tetley's The Rite of Spring; Tharp's In the Upper Room, Waterbaby Bagatelles; and Wheeldon's Polyphonia, and Wevers’ Shindig.
Lucien is the recipient of the 2003 National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts’ Level II Award for Ballet.
