Josh Weissbach
Initial PGF Award: Documentary Undergraduate Film Scholarship, 2008, Cary Grant Film Award
Josh Weissbach was raised in Austin, Texas and later moved to East Haddam, Connecticut where he was first introduced to video production. Currently he is living in Northampton, Massachusetts where he is pursuing his undergraduate degree in film production at Hampshire College. Josh’s work has been screened at Northampton Independent Film Festival where he won Best Film of Five College Area, Antimatter Underground Film Festival, Five College Student Film and Video Festival, Hygienic Film Festival, Montague Phantom Brain Exchange, No Festival Required Microcinema, and has been part of local collaborative art showcases in Western Massachusetts such as Connection/Disconnection, La Mirada Estraña and The Multiples of Three. His work on The Addresses, a series of experimental documentaries that focus on human-spatial relations, has taken him to such places as Havana, Venice, and New Jersey.
