I am a film and video-based artist working in experimental documentary forms. My work has screened across the U.S. and internationally at esteemed venues such as Visions du Réel, Black Maria Film and Video Festival, Kassel Dokfest, Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, 25 FPS Experimental Film and Video Festival, Antimatter Film Festival, European Media Arts Festival, Images Festival, Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, Anthology Film Archives, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Experiments in Cinema, Athens International Film and Video Festival, Rooftop Films and more. I am the recipient of a 2010 Princess Grace Award in Film, a 2011 Flaherty Fellowship, Director’s Choice at the 2012 Black Maria Film and Video Festival, and the Grand Prix at the 25FPS Experimental Film and Video Festival. My video work has also been included in multiple media journals, including The Journal of Short Film and INCITE! Journal of Experimental Media and Radical Aesthetics Issue # 2. I received an MFA in Film, Video, New Media and Animation as well as an MA in Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Currently I am a 2012-2013 Artist in Residence at the Chicago Artist’s Coalition.
