Andrea Parson
Initial PGF Award: Dance Fellowship, 2010
Andrea Parson began her early classical training in Hillsboro, Oregon at the Northwest Conservatory of Dance. She attended summer programs with the Joffrey Ballet, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and the Northwest Dance Project. She earned her B.A. in Dance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. After graduating in 2009 she joined the Northwest Dance Project and has danced original roles in the works of Aszure Barton, Sarah Slipper, James Canfield, Luca Veggetti, Andrea Miller, Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Maurice Causey, Wen Wei Wang, Alejandro Cerrudo, Cayetano Soto and Edgar Zendejas. In June of 2010 she was featured in Dance Magazine as ‘Dancer on the Rise.’ In July of 2010 she studied counter technique with Anouk van Dijk Dance Company. Andrea is also dedicated to teaching dance and working on her own choreographic projects.
